I posted this on my CTS blog, but wanted to crosspost it here as well. As LinkedIn gains in popularity it continues to expand its services to members of the site. Since its inception the site has continued to expand its services by adding a questions are for people to participate in idea sharing and to show themselves as experts in their fields. The site, written in English is now also experimenting with a Spanish version.
Recently the site has added applications. Similar to what you find on Facebook and MySpace, applications are applets that allow you to expand the functionality of your profile. I have added a blog feed and filesharing to my profile. On the file sharing area I have uploaded our most recent e-newsletter. Other applications include: Reading List by Amazon, Google Presentation, and Company Buzz (Twitter feeds).
Now for a little shameless self-promotion: If you are interested in learning how to set up a LinkedIn account, CTS will be hosting a webinar on November 19, 9 am. Cost is $35 but mention this blog and you will receive $10 off the registration cost. Email me for details.
