Do Ya’ Jing?

The Jing Project is an application designed to help you capture images or record video and then share that information. Currently it is a free download as it is still in the development phase. "The concept of Jing is the always-ready program that instantly captures and shares images and video…from your computer to anywhere." Jing is available for both MAC and Windows. As a participant in the Jing Project you will be given a free account on Screencast. Screencast "is a web hosting service from TechSmith Corporation. It's a premier hosting service specifically made for screen video content." I downloaded the project the other day and have found it easy to work with. You can leave it on while you work so you can capture whenever needed. Once captured, you can send the data to Screencast or save it locally on your computer. Currently the product is free while they gather feedback. This tool can be another item in your arsenal of tools to help capture information for presentations, webinars, etc.

What is your favorite screen capture/recording application?
