Are You a CPI Yet?

Certiport has created a new designation for instructors. CPI stands for Certified Professional Instructor. This designation is available in two areas, one that aligns with the MCAS program (Office 2007 + Vista) and another that aligns with their IC3 (digital literacy). It is an involved process to apply including passing either MCAS or IC3 Master Instructor qualifications, references, proctor and other testing administrator training. There is a fee to apply with an additional yearly fee. I am halfway through the process and will keep you updated as I go through the CPI and administrator training.

What are the advantages of this program? (From Certiport's website)

  • Access standard teaching materials, program information and remediation tools
  • Develop and/or review new eLearning and instructional materials
  • Participate in professional forums and online collaborative sessions to share Best Practices
